When people ask me which is my favorite season, I say the Season of Mist. They have slowly become the best metal label around. More or less. There are lots of good labels out there, but when Season of Mist signs a band, you often raise the old eyebrows, impressed.
Today, the label revealed they’ve signed both grind legends Misery Index and Terrorizer.
“Needless to say, we are very excited to start working with Season of Mist and to join an exceptional roster that includes many of our favorite bands,” said bassist and frontman Jason Netherton on the signing. “We will commence later this year to writing the next album, and with luck will enter the studio in 2012. Thanks to everyone who helped us get to where we are today, and cheers to Season of Mist for supporting us in our present and future endeavors.”
Meanwhile, Terrorizer’s album is nearly done, and will be released in early 2012.
“We are happy to team up with Season Of Mist for the worldwide release of the next Terrorizer album. We are currently finishing the recordings and expect to mix down the record after the summer,” the band says in a statement. “We are also determined to finally bring Terrorizer on tour all over the globe next year to support the album’s release.”
