Today, everyone was all abuzz about Condemned?’s announcement that they had inked yet another deal with Nuclear Blast, and that’s cool. It will be nice to see what they come up with. But for me, today’s really big announcement was the reunion of Senate.
If you’ve lived your entire life without Senate up until this point, stick your finger in a socket and then head on over to the band’s MySpace page and listen to some of the Canadian metal band’s tunes. These dudes fucking destroy, and I’m rather excited to see that they’re returning after a three-year hiatus.
Senate plan on playing a number of shows throughout the spring and summer, after which they’ll get to work on the follow-up to 2006’s The Great Northern Scenekill.
Senate’s current lineup features Jay Siebert, Matt Di Franco, Jay Hudson, and the band’s latest member, George Parfitt (Threat Signal’s old drummer). The band continue to audition bassists and will make an announcement with regard to that vacancy shortly, says a statement.
