The fact that they’re throwing a festival in the U.S. and still calling it Rock In Rio seems — I don’t know — stupid, but what do I know?
Maybe they’re banking on that name recognition from the Brazilian festival putting asses in seats.
Well, when it comes to placing bottoms in chairs, no one knows how to do that better than Steve Vai.
The guitar virtuoso will be joining Sepultura when they perform at Rock In Rio, the U.S. version.
That goes down May 8 and May 9 with more shows May 15 and May 16 in Las Vegas.
Also set to play are Metallica, the Deftones, Linkin Park (who just cancelled some shows because Chester Bennington suffered “a leg injury”), Rise Against, Hollywood Undead, Coheed and Cambria and Of Mice & Men.
