Sevendust Drummer Says New Van Halen Album’s “Killer”

Van Halen

So, it seems Van Halen’s testing this new record they’re releasing this fall with some of the leaders of the hard rock class.

Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose is now claiming that he’s heard some of the upcoming Van Halen album, and has described it as “fucking killer. Eddie [Van Halen] hasn’t sounded this good since Balance. Dave’s [Lee Roth] voice sounds great. Alex [Van Halen] is absolutely bombastic.”

What, no mention of Wolfie’s bass playing? Mustn’t have been that memorable.

Rose is the second rock dude to come forward who has heard the new Van Halen. Alter Bridge’s Mark Tremonti said last month that the disc is “incredible.”

Producer Ross Hogarth also recently said that he was “really stoked about it, as it is the original band, Eddie and Alex with Wolf [Eddie’s son] playing bass, and David Lee Roth singing, it’s the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire.”
