Times of Grace — featuring Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz and Gun Shy Assassin’s own Jesse Leach — have revealed that Shadows Fall guitarist Matt Bachand will be joining them on tour this summer. But Matt won’t be playing guitar — he’ll be playing bass.
Matt will be with the band on their European tour and this summer’s trek with Underoath, on that band’s “Illuminato(u)r.” Now, you may be thinking, “What happened to Times of Grace’s last touring guitarist — that dude from Five Point O?” Glad you asked.
Daniel Struble is unable to make this particular road trip, according to a Roadrunner press release, due to personal matters he must imminently address.
Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel and drummer Dan Gluszak round out Times of Grace’s touring band. That’s one hell of a band, people.
“Losing Daniel was a blow to the Times of Grace camp, but we knew he had to do what was best for him and his family,” said Leach. “Having Matt show interest in joining the touring lineup could not have been a better fit! I have been a fan of Matt’s voice and guitar work for many years. I am honored and very stoked to have him join us on tour to play bass and sing backup vocals. Matt is a great guy, and someone Adam, Joel and I have all known for years. Personality-wise and as a musician, it clicks so well. I am certain Matt will add a great vibe and bring his own style to the live show!”
