You know, today, there’s a lot of talk about SOPA (the Stop Online Piracy Act, which, as written, is a totally fucking flawed document) and PIPA (who is the sister of the royal princess, no?), and while I don’t agree with either piece of legislation, I decided not to go black because…well, I’m not Google. Gun Shy Assassin going black would not help, and only hurt.
Notice you can still use Google, by the way. Some fucking act of protest.
Today, at the repair shop, there was an old man who hadn’t heard of SOPA. He hadn’t heard of soap either, it seems. I was trapped for an hour, listening to this old dude rattle on about his 21-year-old Toyota, and how the people at the shop were likely rendering more harm than good during their diagnostic. His breath was repulsive, and I believe he may have shit his pants.
That has nothing to do with Shai Hulud, but I did want to say that no, we don’t support SOPA. Who would? Terrorists, that’s who. The only people who would support the restriction of our constitutionally-protected freedoms, without due process, are terrorists.
Shai Hulud are not terrorists, so I doubt they support SOPA. They will, however, be touring with A Plea For Purging, Counterparts, and Dead Icons in late February and March.
Shai Hulud dates:
2/24: Danbury, CT @ Heirloom Arts Theatre
2/28: Fredericksburg, VA @ The Refuge
2/29: Nashville, TN @ TBA
3/2: Jackson, MS @ The Carter
3/3: Fort Worth, TX @ Tomcats West
3/5: El Paso, TX @ M’s Lips Lounge
3/17: Springfield, MO @ Remmington’s Downtown
3/18: Evansville, IN @ The Hatch
