Slash Is Now A Disney Character

Slash, as a cartoon character

You see? That little guitar playing dude right there that looks like Slash actually is Slash.

Slash will be rendered into cartoon form as part of the Disney Channel’s “Phineas and Ferb.” It’s an animated show and the show’s soundtrack, “Phineas and Ferb Across The 1st and 2nd Dimensions,” will be released on August 2.

The set features contributions from Slash. The Velvet Revolver and former Guns N’ Roses guitarist will lend his axe to the song “Kick It Up a Notch,” which will be heard during the ending credits of the “Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension” made-for-TV movie.

That animated version of Slash will be featured in the music video for the song.

Slash says he’s a “big fan of ‘Phineas And Ferb.’ I watch a lot of cartoons and I think it’s one of the best shows. It’s well-written, very original and the characters are great. This whole experience has been surreal because I’m a big Disney fan. To be involved in this movie and having written some music for it is pretty exciting. It’s an honor to actually be animated in the ‘Kick It Up A Notch’ music video.”
