Slash is hilarious, people. Hill. Air. Ee. Us.
The iconic, Grammy-winning rock guitarist and songwriter is in a Los Angeles recording studio, polishing the gems he’s tracked for his forthcoming second solo album.
Apocalyptic Love is due out May 22 on Slash’s own label, Dik Hayd International. That’s why Slash is hilarious. Dik Hayd — or dickhead?
That’s classic! This guy’s a fucking comedic genius. Don’t let that ominous, foreboding top hat fool you. I betcha he checks into hotels as Eaton Beever or Buster Highman.
Classic Slash, right there! Classic.
The new album will be distributed through EMI and will follow Slash’s 2010 self-titled solo debut.
Of course, since Slash don’t sing any only Jeff Loomis can put out an instrumental guitar record that’d hold anybody’s attention, Saul Hudson called on Myles Kennedy — who sings for that awful band Alter Bridge — as well as drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kerns.
The effort was produced by Eric Valentine, who also produced Slash. All the songs were written together by Slash and Kennedy.
