Slash — formerly of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver — let slip on a Philadelphia radio program that he might be touring later this year or early next with one of metal’s biggest names.
Slash was chatting with Preston and Steve from WMMR and said that he’d be playing the City of Brotherly Love very soon. “I think we’re doing it with Ozzy in January,” Slash said right before hanging up.
That’s Ozzy Osbourne. The self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness. Animal lover. “Caddyshack” fan. There have been rumors that the Ozzy would be doing a ton of touring in 2011, so this is probably true. Meanwhile, Velvet Revolver’s resumed frontman auditions. Really? Just give it up, guys.
Slash, of course, released his solo LP Slash this year, and it features a bunch of guest appearances by Chris Cornell, Dave Grohl, Kid Rock, Iggy Pop, and M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold. Slash recently shot a video with Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas for the track “Beautiful Dangerous.” That’s how I would describe most of my exes.
