There’s no more excuses for the Slayer gang — a new album should now be forthcoming, given Rick Rubin’s little distribution problem’s been resolved.
Yes — Dave Lombardo’s status with the band is in limbo, as is the status of Jeff Hanneman’s right arm. “So how could a new album be coming?,” you may be asking yourself.
Do you not read? The band had a couple of songs tracked, and have been working on others for a new album.
That new album, theoretically, will see release through Universal, thanks to a new distribution deal.
That deal gets off on a rather shameless foot with the re-releases of the group’s last two albums World Painted Blood and Christ Illusion on April 9.
No bonus tracks, though. Just reissues. The way they first were originally released.
