No…they will not be playing covers of songs feature in the hilarious Will Farrell comedy “Old School.”
Although, I’d go see that.
Nope, instead, Slayer is set to perform a set of “old school” tunes on their North American tour, which gets underway tonight in Las Vegas.
“We’re having such a great time rehearsing this ‘old-school’ set, we’ve decided to play it on every one of our upcoming tour dates,” claims Slayer’s Kerry King online.
The band — which is now basically two guys keen on cash with two hired guns — has been holed up in Las Vegas, rehearsing for its five-week jaunt.
The tour’s dates can be found here.
“The final set list is still coming together,” added Tom Araya, “but we’re going to give the fans what amounts to ‘decades of aggression.’ It’s going to be a great night of music and moshing for everyone.”
Sans my ass.
