Slayer Release New Song, Sign With Nuclear Blast

Band issues “Implode,” working on album for early 2015 release

Wanna hear a new, yet totally mediocre song from Slayer called “Implode?”

Then head to the end of this post, people.

That’s where you will find the band’s first new studio recording in five fucking years.

It’s actually almost unlistenable. It’s a shame when a band that used to be great can’t admit to itself it needs to cash in its chips and just play old stuff. There’s no need for new Slayer, especially if it’s going to sound this shitty.

The song was recorded earlier this month at Henson Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Terry Date and co-produced by Greg Fidelman.

The band will begin recording a new album later in the year to drop in early 2015 on Nuclear Blast Records.

The record will be released through the band’s own label imprint, closing out a 28-year relationship with Rick Rubin and American Recordings.

No name for the imprint has been decided on yet.
