So, I’m going to let you in on my favorite joke — a joke that can only really be told today and tomorrow. If you tell it Saturday, it won’t have the same timeliness.
By the way, Slayer will be performing their 1986 masterpiece Reign In Blood in its entirety live at Alexandra Palace in London, England, on May 25.
The set is part of the 2012 All Tomorrow’s Parties festivities.
Anyways, so, back to that joke. This joke can only be told the first two business weeks after Halloween, because it’s Halloween-related.
I usually like to use this joke on an office mate. I used to use it on my buddy Jem Aswad a bunch back at MTV News. He’s a good sport, and didn’t take offense. At least not visibly.
Pick out a dude in your office or circle of friends who can take being made fun of, because this one can go either way: People can take it with a shrug and a laugh or they can react like you just told them that they were an abortion that lived.
Go up to dude you’ve selected (the target), and say (and this is the joke), “Hey man — take the mask off. Halloween’s over.”
Now, go do it. And you’re welcome.
