Canadian thrashers Thine Eyes Bleed — the band featuring former Kittie guitarist and technician Jeff Phillips and bassist Johnny Araya (who is the brother of Slayer’s Tom Araya) — have released their third album, The Embers Rise.
The disc was issued independently via iTunes, and recorded with producer Siegfried Meier at his Beach Road Studios in Ontario, Canada.
The new disc, of course, features a guest appearance by Tom Araya in the song “Eyes To The Sky.”
Because otherwise, no one would buy The Embers Rise, which boasts eight tracks, including “Ashes We Called Skin,” “Comorbid,” and “Beards Of Prey.”
The band recently experienced a lineup shift.
Thine Eyes Bleed last year parted ways with guitarist Jimmy Reid. He has since been replaced with Nigel Curley of Excruciating Thoughts.
Mine ears bleed when I listen to these dudes.
