Sleep Are Here To Stay

Reunion after reunion show has led Sleep to this point…to a statement of sorts on their future.

The statement was actually prompted by a date change at the upcoming Maryland Death Fest, which Sleep will be playing.

“Al Cisneros (Om, Sleep), Matt Pike (High On Fire, Sleep) and Jason Roeder (Neurosis, Sleep) have been carefully balancing busy touring schedules to push forward with Sleep as a full, reunited band,” the statement says.

“Please be advised: to facilitate the touring opportunities offered to both Om and Neurosis in May 2013, Sleep has rescheduled their appearance at MDF 2013 from Saturday May 25th to Sunday May 26th. Sleep offers humble apologies to anyone that this may inconvenience.

“If you want/need to exchange Saturday tickets for Sunday tickets, please send them to:
MDF – P.O. Box 20368 – Baltimore, MD 21284”

The band concludes the statement with “We look forward to MDF and beyond. Praise thee who accept The Iommic in thine heart.”

Oh gee, I wonder if Sleep will be releasing new music? I mean, how sick would that be? I see it as an inevitability.
