Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan is many things — a rocker, a writer, a photographer, a douche. He is many things, but not a true-to-form clown, which is funny, given his nickname.
Now, add actor to that list of things Clown is. Dude will make his acting debut in “The Devil’s Carnival,” the new project Darren Lynn Bousman is directing that is being seen as a companion piece of sorts to “Repo! The Genetic Opera.”
“I am very honored to have been asked to be a part of this project,” says Clown. “I play a character called The Tamer. And let me tell you, there is a little Tamer in all of us.
“It’s always been a dream and a goal for me to try and act in something that is filmed besides music videos,” he said. “I am very honored to have the opportunity to have worked with so many talented actors and people who are involved in making this production come to life.”
The film also stars Alexa Vega, Skinny Puppy’s Ogre, Paul Sorvino, Sean Patrick Flanery, Bill Moseley, Briana Evigan, Marc Senter, and the girl pictured above, Emilie Autumn.
Ten bucks says Clown taps that ass before filming wraps.
