I thought we were done with this. I thought that once Slash told us all that Corey Taylor was no longer being considered for Velvet Revolver’s new frontman, we’d be through talking about this. But then again, I’m not David “Gus” Griesinger.
This guy was on the Revolver Golden Gods black carpet and had a chance to talk to Corey, and asked him if there was still a chance he’ll join VR.
Let this be the last time we ever hear about it, please. Now that Gus knows there’s no chance of Corey joining the Revolver, let’s all move on journalist folk.
“It wasn’t in the cards, and that’s cool,” says Corey. “I made some great friends; obviously, I’m jamming with Duff [McKagan’s Loaded] tonight. It was just cool to kind of get together with them and jam, man. But it’s all good.”
Recordings allegedly exist of Corey Taylor singing with Velvet Revolver. It’s unlikely they’ll ever surface, unless some two-timed engineer leaks ‘em.
