Uprising

Phaze I, the project boasting Soilwork’s Dirk Verbeuren and Lyzanxia brothers David and Franck Potvin, have released new audio from their forthcoming album, and I’m not sure I like it.

At all.

Head to the end of this post to see if you dig what Dirk’s up to. For me, the vocals just ruin it. The music’s not so bad but those vocals…I’m gonna vomit.

Phaze I will release its sophomore album, Uprising, through Trepan Records/Wormholedath on February 2, from what a press release tells me.

Drums for the disc were recorded at Dirk’s Die Crawling studio while the rest of the album was produced by David at The Dome Studio in 2012.

And it sounds like it was recorded that way. At least this one song sounds disjointed to me.

It’s called “A Thousand Fingers and Claws.”
