The new album from Soulfly, which is still being recorded with producer Matt Hyde at the boards, should be out sometime this summer.
This is the claim of Max Cavalera, and I’d presume he’d know.
Soulfly started the recording process for their tenth album about a month ago, and are taking a quick break while Max plays some shows with Killer Be Killed down under.
Max says in an interview with Spotlight Report (whatever that is) that the new Soulfly disc will be out late this summer through Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
More specifically, Max claims “the next Soulfly comes out in August. I’m finishing the vocals right now. The music is all done. It was done with Matt Hyde in L.A., and it’s incredible. [It’s] a really good record. I’m very happy with this record. And I’m gonna be, probably… after the Soulfly album comes out, I’m probably gonna be one year or a year and a half on the road for Soulfly.”
And that, unfortunately, means that the U.S. probably will not be enjoying any Killer Be Killed shows, much to my chagrin.
