Bobby Burns, who was part of Soulfly’s lineup for more than seven years and four albums, has left the group following the recent release of Omen.
Burns took to his Twitter page to update fans on his decision. “To all the fans…Soulfly and I have decided to part ways. Stay tuned for my next projects already in the works. Thanks for your support.”
Burns, who also plays guitar and produces, handles guitar, bass, and vocals for the band Primer 55. They’re pure shit, by the way. Perhaps Burns left because he’s got a new child; he and wife Joy had their first child, a son named Ryder, back in February.
UPDATE: Soulfly have confirmed Burns’ departure and have announced that Fireball Ministry’s Johny Chow to fill in on all upcoming Soulfly dates.
