When Sourvein vocalist T-Roy was asked for a simple description of “Fangs,” the leadoff track from his band’s forthcoming album Black Fangs (in stores June 21), he was rather poetic, if you ask me.
“‘Fangs’ is about vampires in the abstract way,” he explained. “Like, someone sucking the energy out of you, and usurping all of your good energy and leaving you feeling negative and drained.”
I know the feeling. Gun Shy Assassin is very pleased to be able to present to you, our loyal and very good-looking readers, an exclusive listen to Sourvein’s new LP; yes, you will only find it here, folks. After the jump, you can stream the song “Fangs” as much as you want. Fall in love with it, as I did last week. It’s sludgy, feedback aggression that clings to you like barbed wire. Some of the riffs on this album, actually, have stayed with me for hours.
