Static-X Frontman Talks Blythe Detainment

Wayne Static

Uh-huh.

I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting with baited breathe for Static-X frontman Wayne Static to finally voice his opinion on Randy Blythe’s imprisonment in Prague over bogus charges. Finally, Wayne has spoken.

“I just heard about [Randy’s arrest] actually, and I think it’s pretty fucked up, man,” says Wayne, offering up the popular opinion on the matter.

“I don’t know all the details, obviously I wasn’t there. But anytime at a metal show, fans are going to be going crazy,” he says.

I wonder what metal shows he attends, because he can’t be referencing his own band, could he?

“Apparently he pushed somebody off the stage and they got hurt and then died. It was an accident, man. That shit happens all the time. It’s weird that they’re trying to pin it on him,” he adds.

Meanwhile, the lineup for the band’s summer tour has been revealed. Static will be joined by Ashes on guitar, Brent Ashley on bass and Sean “Animal” Everett on drums.
