So, I guess if you don’t like rap music, you’re a racist, huh? I didn’t know that’s how it worked.
What if I only like old school hip-hop, and not the new stuff like Lil Wayne and whoever the fuck else is big in rap these days? Am I still a racist then?
This is the thinking employed by Nicki Minaj, who has branded Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler a racist after comments he made about her.
Steve Tyler never should have done “American Idol.” He can’t escape that shit now. It’s part of his legacy, and if you ask me, a blemish.
Tyler has apologized to Minaj for comments he made about her “judging ability” on “American Idol.”
Judging ability, eh? Steve said Nicki “would have sent [Bob Dylan] to the cornfield” if he had appeared on the show…I guess insinuating that she doesn’t know much about rock.
Minaj took to Twitter saying, “That’s a racist comment. You assume that I wouldn’t have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go fuck yourself and worry about yourself babe.”
Sources claim upon reading the Tweet, Tyler immediately masturbated. But they’re highly unreliable sources.
Tyler responded on a Canadian talk show: “I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki…but I am the farthest from [racist]. I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don’t know where she got that out of me saying I’m not sure how she would’ve judged Bob Dylan. Maybe I spoke out of turn. But a racist I’m not, Nicki.”
