Looks like Scott Weiland may have relapsed.
Reports claims the Stone Temple Pilots took to the stage in Abbotsford, British Columbia, on Monday night two hours after the opening band wrapped up.
A band called Crash Kings opened the night, playing for just under an hour to an estimated 3,000 fans who waited for two hours, and didn’t riot. There’s something to be learned here, Guns N’ Roses fans.
Stone Temple Pilot finally started playing at 11 p.m. — to the boos of the crowd.
Weiland offered a brief apology, but otherwise offered no explanation for the band’s tardiness.
The band then cancelled a show last night in Canada.
The band claims the show was cancelled as Weiland has been put on 48 hours complete vocal rest due to strained vocal cords. The cancelation of the Lethbridge show “will allow STP to finish the remaining dates of their summer 2012 tour,” says a statement.
I still say its drugs.
