Such Gold Singer Confirms Stabbing: “I’m Lucky To Be Alive”

Such Gold, pre-stabbing

Stabbings happen every day. They happen with letter-openers, steak knives, fire place pokers, big syringes, butter knives, pens…you name it! So earlier this month when Lambgoat initially reported that the singer for hardly-hardcore band Such Gold was allegedly stabbed while allegedly partying in Boston, we reported on it too. Why? Because stabbings happen — more than you know. Then the band suddenly decided to cancel a whole butt-fuck-ton of tour dates, and it was basically a given the dude was stabbed.

Well, now that allegedly stabbed lead singer has released a statement saying he is actually the repeatedly stabbed lead singer.

“There have been a lot of rumors flying around the Internet and I think it’s about time to clarify things,” says singer Ben Kotin, before clarifying then muddying things. “About three weeks ago I was stabbed multiple times outside of a party. I can’t go into any details but I will say that I’m lucky to be alive.”

This raises more questions than it answers. Was his attacker apprehended? Where were you stabbed? What happened in the moments leading up to the stabbing? Dude, give us more than that!

“I’m very sorry to leave you all to decipher whether the rumors were true or not for so long but I felt it was necessary to keep to myself for a certain period of time,” singer dude Kotin added. “There’s no telling exactly when I will be well enough to perform again but Such Gold will be doing some dates in the month of May with one of my best friends Skylar, from an awesome Massachusetts based band called Building, filling in for me.”

So, that’s that — dude was stabbed multiple times in Boston just…because? Whenever I’ve been stabbed in Boston, there was a reason. What’s the reason, dude?

Disclaimer: I personally don’t like what this band is doing musically. But stabbings are just straight-up news.
