Assuming perhaps the problem isn’t that they’re just lazy fucking crooks who don’t to pay for shit, Suffocation have created an instructional video for illegal downloaders that shows you how to actually buy a CD.
The video — streaming at the end of this post — features Suffocation guitarist Guy Marchais.
You should support bands you like, because these bands suffer for their art, basically. Bands get dropped when you steal albums, and can’t afford to tour.
Guy goes to the mall, and explains that downloading “hurts” bands like his because “we’re small.” Each illegal download that isn’t followed up with a purchase is chipping away at a band’s existence. They can’t exist if their music is free for all.
He goes to the Smith Haven Mall on Long Island (at least I think it is that mall) to the FYE to find Pinnacle of Bedlam, and shows folks that the albums can be located near the Slipknot records.
The new disc is in stores now! Go get it. Suffocation are fucking rad as fuck and deserve our support.
