Sumac Forms, Boasting Ex-Isis Frontman

Band also boasts former and current members of Botch and Baptists

This news right here is hot of the presses, and fucking dope as fuck, on the surface.

But who knows what Sumac will sound like.

Sumac boasts ex-Isis vocalist and guitarist Aaron Turner with former Botch bassist Brian Cook and Baptists kitman Nick Yacyshyn.

It sounds like this could be the best band ever, really.

Sumac have a debut album called The Deal coming out, which will see release this February on Profound Lore/SIGE Records.

Produced by Mell Dettmer, Converge’s Kurt Ballou handled the mix, for the record, which will have the following track running:

1. “Spectral Gold”
2. “Thorn In The Lion’s Paw”

3. “Hollow King”

4. “Blight’s End Angel”

5. “The Deal”

6. “Radiance Of Being”

Says Turner:

“We are pursuing this as a fully functional band rather than side project, with plans to play live in the coming year and continue with further writing/recording thereafter.”
