Most summers, you could rely on tour to bring the heavy, to ensure pits were had, thus further ensuring a week-long case of black boogers.
That trek was the Summer Slaughter, which this year, alas, includes a lot of mellow-making metal bands, and progressive groups that don’t write lyrics about the sun searing the flesh off mankind as the planet moves closer and closer to it.
Not that any band has, but a band should.
At the end of this post, you’ll find the dates for this summer’s installment of the Slaughter, which will feature Cattle Decapitation, Revocation, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals As Leaders, Periphery, and Norma Jean, among others.
That’s if you’re still interested.
