Roadrunner Records and Warner Music Latina have signed — and will release the debut album by — Latin metal supergroup De La Tierra.
The band boasts Andreas Kisser, guitarist for Sepultura, Andrés Giménez, former leader of A.N.I.M.A.L., Sr. Flavio, bassist of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, and Alex González, drummer of Maná.
You can hear their first song, “Maldita Historia,” at the end of this post.
I listened to it, and all I could think about was my high school Spanish teacher.
She was in her early 30s, and had an ass that would take to me as she walked around the classroom, blathering shit off in Spanish.
I learned hardly anything in that class. There was my teacher and then there was also Kerry, this beautiful stacked brunette who’d hike up her skirt (I went to Catholic high school, against my will), and show her legs off to me like a fucking tease.
She knew I wanted her, and she used that to toy with me. I loved it.
I was always distracted in that class. I wish I hadn’t been. Maybe I’d understand what these dudes are saying in this song.
De La Tierra will drop January 14.
Maybe I’ll get Rosetta Stone between now and then, just so I can understand what these dudes are saying.
The album will boats 11 songs recorded and mixed by Stanley Soares in Sao Paulo, Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, and Los Angeles and produced by the band themselves.
