Sworn Enemy

I feel like I’ve been out of touch since arriving here in Worcester. That’s because I have hardly used my computer. Today’s the first chance I am getting to use it because I’ve been so preoccupied with the metals.

So as I was saying before, last night, after Behemoth closed out the second night, we hit this dive bar and drank until about 2.

By 3, we were back in our hotel, on the second floor, in the continental breakfast area, where we happened upon some very loud dudes honking rails.

It’s startling how many dudes in metal bands enjoy cocaine. They’re big fans. In fact, the members of one of the better known bands on the fest were lingering behind the venue last night and basically wouldn’t give anyone the time of day unless they had coke.

So, back at the hotel, these dudes were snorting away, being loud, and drinking Jack. Matt from Nefarious Realm and I sat with the guys to chat. Five minutes later, there’s five patrol cars outside and a SWAT team of officers coming out of the elevator to boot us from the premises.

Matt and I packed our shit and left, but later, returned, and explained to the hotel staff that we were hapless victims and not the coke-ingesting loud dudes who were making all the commotion. Luckily, we were allowed to return to our room for sleep.

This has nothing to do with the Sworn Enemy (whose new album Living on Borrowed Time drops in a matter of weeks — and Silence The Messenger tour, but I felt I need to get that story off my chest.

So, here’s when the two bands will be making stops across North America.
