In the middle of 2011, the world will have new Testament.
That, according to a press release received in the Gun Shy Assassin training camp today. The band will soon start writing and have booked studio time for the end of the year. That’s thrashtastic news. I guess Alex is done with his trio and all that silliness, and is ready to get back to some serious riffage.
“We’re shooting for a mid-2011 release,” singer Chuck Billy says in a statement. “The new album will most likely be a culmination of [1999’s] The Gathering and [2008’s] The Formation of Damnation, but we’re definitely not going to forget who we are or our roots. I think we’ve found a comfortable spot in our writing style.”
“We’re going to be home during the fall and winter working on new material,” added guitarist Eric Peterson. “As we speak, I’m working on new music, and we’re shooting to record by the end of the year. That’s our plan, but we’re not going to just put out a record to put out a record. We have standards, and we’re picky as to what exactly we want to put out.”
Rad. After all, they need to have something new to promote for when the Big Four comes to the U.S. Just saying.
