The Agonist Selling Two-Song Sampler, Calling It An EP

I see butt hole

So, I’m not a fan of The Agonist, which is weird. I usually like things from Canada. But, I am sure some of you do, and so, I’m happy to inform you that they have a new EP coming out soon.

After spending a few months in the studio, The Agonist — featuring the busty Alissa White-Gluz — will be hitting the road soon as part of a North American package tour with Kamelot, Alestorm, and Blackguard.

A press release said that The Agonist’s lead guitarist, Danny Marino, will be unable to join the band on this trek, and will be replaced by ex-The Catalyst guitarist Justin Deguire on rhythm guitar while Pascal “Paco” Jobin takes over lead guitar duties.

The Escape EP, which will feature two songs from The Agonist’s upcoming full-length album (“Lonely Solipsist” and “The Escape”) — and will be sold exclusively on the road and online at CM Distro for the duration of the tour.

Two songs? That’s not an EP, that’s a free SAMPLER. Now labels are selling samplers? Damn, yo. The EP will also be available in digital format after the tour.

The forthcoming album was mixed by Tue Madsen and is slated for an early 2012 release through Century Media Records.
