That’s right, kids.
Indiana progressive metal outfit The Contortionist are in Sanford, Florida, where they will start recording their next album with my pal Jason Suecof at his Audiohammer Studios.
The band have begun recording the follow-up to their 2010 debut, Exoplanet. Eyal Levi will also be producing the disc with Suecof.
The new album is set to hit stores in late spring/early summer through Good Fight Music.
Said Jason: “I’m ready for The Contortionist to take my legs and pretzel them through my eyes while my ears get sonically brutalized.”
“It’s really cool that we’re recording in the same studio as some of the same bands that we’ve been listening to for a long time,” says guitarist Robby Baca. “Some of our favorite records have been produced here. Jason is crazy as fuck, Eyal is chill as fuck, and we’re a combination of both so it’s a great fit.”
