That’s right, girlie man.
The Dillinger Escape Plan will be playing a free concert at the Slidebar in Fullerton, California, on January 19 — and if you can’t be there live, you can be there via the magic of WiFi.
This will be the band’s “last U.S. [show] for a while,” given the guys have been hard at work, crafting new chaos for their next LP.
The Dillinger show will be streamed live at 10:00 p.m. at Stickam.com/DillingerEscapePlan.
Guitarist Ben Weinman recently said of the forthcoming LP, “You know, every time I finish a record, I feel like I can’t make another one. I’m done. I have no more Dillinger in me. Then after a year or two of just touring heavily on that music, it just seems to come naturally, to start working on new stuff.”
I happen to think Dillinger are one of the greatest bands to have ever formed, and can not wait to hear their next studio offering. I love that phrase — “studio offering.” What the fuck? I think I might stop using that.
