I think Greg Puciato is a cool motherfucker.
He’s very opinionated and open with fans, and is often posting Dillinger Escape Plan news on his Twitter. He’s accessible, and answers questions from people who dig what he does. That’s how you keep fans, folks.
In a recent Tweet, Puciato hinted that a live DVD could be in the making. A fan took a potshot at Dillinger’s recent music video, and Greg responded.
“They’re pretty hard to do right that’s for sure, especially for a band like us,” Greg says. “Our energy is tough to capture ‘artificially’ — which is why our best vids in my opinion are just live vids that people have grabbed with their phones or what have you.”
Then Puciato hinted. “That being said, we’re working w/ someone on & off on a larger project that will for SURE capture the live & interpersonal intensity.”
I’m guessing that means they’ve got a live DVD coming down the pike. Multi-camera shit, you know? Like, Greg outfitted with a helmet cam, jumping off of speakers and shit. I mean, it’s true — Dillinger Escape Plan live is not to be fucked with, and no music video is going to do them justice. Maybe not even a live DVD. Go see them. They’re playing with Mastodon and Red Fang.
