The Empire Shall Fall Nix May Dates

The Empire Shall Fall

I happen to know for a fact that Jesse Leach has been extremely busy lately, so I feel for the Empire Shall Fall dudes.

A bunch of the band’s May dates have been cancelled because of Jesse’s working on the next Killswitch Engage album.

“We regret to announce that we have cancelled our scheduled performances in May due to unforeseen commitments,” says The Empire Shall Fall in a statement.

“Jesse has obligations to Killswitch Engage that are too significant to be overlooked. So we are unable to perform in New York May 11th and 12th as well as Syracuse on May 24th, Montreal on May 25th, and Ontario May 26th and 27th,” the band adds.

“We apologize to our fans who were expecting to see us, and we do hope that when the time is right we will be able to work with the promoters to perform in these areas,” they said. “As we have mentioned, and most of you know, Jesse has rejoined Killswitch Engage. He is working hard on a new record and preparing to tour. The Empire Shall Fall has decided to take some time off from performances. We will not be doing any more bookings, at least for the remainder of 2012, but likely to go well into 2013.

“As soon as we are taking bookings again we will make an announcement. As far as the Chakra EPs, we are prioritizing the instrumental components of the remaining two EPS. Much has already been written, and we will continue to post sneak peaks through the process.

“When Jesse finally has a break from Killswitch he will finish the lyrical and vocal components, but most likely no earlier than late 2013. Make no mistake, these EPs will be released as soon as possible on our end. We are very excited with how they are shaping up.

“Stay tuned! And be sure to check out Jesse on tour with Killswitch Engage and Nick on tour with The Dear Hunter!”
