It would certainly seem that way.
Happy 2012, motherfuckers! The year started off on a sour note if you’re a true fan of The Human Abstract, who have seemingly thrown in the prog metal towel.
Band bassist Henry Selva commented on The Human Abstract’s status on his personal Facebook page recently.
“Folks, we are not looking for a new vocalist. We are not touring anytime soon,” Selva says.
No official confirmation has been made, but expect that tomorrow, when the industry returns to work.
“I think it’s only fair you guys know that we’re on ‘break or hiatus if you will.’ I don’t know why we haven’t said anything. I guess it’s because there is always that ‘maybe if something happens, etc..etc…’ Or maybe it’s hard for us to realize the reality of our situation, the band’s situation, to finally let go. I’ll be honest when I say the folllowing: Periphery and Never Say Die were our last tours together as a band.”
Ouch. Me? I don’t care one way or the other. The Human Abstract’s alright but I can I live without ‘em? Abso-fucking-lutely.
