Los Angeles metallers The Human Abstract have entered a recording studio with producer William Putney (who has been behind the boards for albums by Suicide Silence and Four Year Strong). They’re working in Putney’s The Machine Shop in New Jersey. The disc will be the band’s first for Hopeless Records.
“I can’t wait to see what Will plus our preparation equals – hopefully when we leave our album will be the sharpest arrow in the quiver,” frontman Travis Richter says. “I don’t think I have ever put this much into the preproduction/writing process and this is my first stab at fronting a band this musical, so I’m genuinely excited and anxious to hear the final product.”
The Human Abstract have been writing new songs for months now, and hope to have the disc ready for a fall release.
“It has been great to work with the band again,” explains guitarist A.J. Minette. “The writing process has been exciting and rewarding, but getting into the studio is something we have all been looking forward to. After going back to school and studying classical music for the past few years, I have developed into a different musician. I can’t wait to see the outcome in the studio.”
We’ll be looking forward to that one, Greg.
