Three Members Quit I Am I

Departures leave just a drummer and former Dragonforce frontman ZP Theart

Not that anyone was a fan of I Am I — that cheesy band that was fronted by Dragonforce’s former singer ZP Theart — but, yeah, they’re basically done.

Can you be a band if every member who plays an instrument in your band basically bails on you?

Guitarist Jacob Ziemba, bassist Neil Salmon and guitarist Andy Midgley have decided to leave the group “due to internal struggles and ongoing issues within the band.”

They just don’t dig on ZP, is all. Can you blame them.

They’re probably sick of every other sentence starting with “Well, when I was in Dragonforce…”

“This was not an easy decision, but a very necessary one at this point. We would like to thank all of our fans around the world for their support and enthusiasm. We ask you to respect our decision and look forward to seeing you all on the road somewhere in the future!”

No word from ZP on the brouhaha.

Rich Smith, the band’s drummer, joined the group just last year.
