Today Is The Day are now on Black Market Activities, the label run by Guy Kozowyk from The Red Chord. Guy must be a big fan, and why wouldn’t he be? Today Is The Day rule…but I do admit I liked them better with Brann and Bill from Mastodon.
The band, who have toured with Morbid Angel, Converge, and Neurosis, will release their ninth studio LP in 2011. No definitive details are available yet, but count on the fact that we’re going to be hearing more about this in the not-so-distant future.
Today Is The Day, which now boasts Wetnurse’s Curran Reynolds, were hailed by the New York Times as “proud noisemakers for 15 years now…with brutal blues-rock and completely disfigures it with sheets of distortion and the bestial ravings of Steve Austin.”
The band kicks off its first U.S. tour in two years next month. They’ll be out there with Unsane, Keelhaul, and A Storm of Light. Here are all of the band’s upcoming tour dates.
