Albeit slowly…but surely, people.
Focus here on the surely part.
According to frontman Maynard James Keenan and drummer Danny Carey, Tool’s album is progressing. Just like acceptance of gay marriage in America is progressing. At the same pace, too.
Carey explained to Rip It Up: “Maynard deals with the lyrical content. He’s been pretty busy with his wine and other projects lately, but right now it’s just Justin and Adam and I working on things and, you know, little bits and pieces, lots of musical things.”
Sounds like we won’t be getting new Tool until at least 2017.
Keenan commented that writing for Tool take “a whole different set of patience” than working on Puscifer songs does.
So, there you have it. Tool’s still jerking us around, and sluggishly perfecting their next opus while we all grow old.
