Tool Bassist Working With Intronaut

MetalSucks faves Intronaut made a rather epic revelation Tuesday. Dudes are working with Tool bass thumper Justin Chancellor on a song for their next album. Say whaaaaaaaaaat?

Intronaut frontman and guitarist Sacha Dunable explains: “Intronaut is beyond stoked to get back out on the road and play some shows with our buddies in Cynic and Dysrhythmia.” Lets stop right there and add that we here at Gun Shy Assassin are also beyond stoked. OK, let’s move on. “If you live near any of these cities, be sure to come out! We’ll be playing a few songs off our new record, and I could only assume that the other two bands are going to blow your socks off.”

OK, so, that wasn’t about Tool in any way. Now, on to that bit: “Speaking of the new record, it’s just about done. It’s been quite exhausting fine-tuning everything, but it’s paid off. Josh Newell is killing it on the production side of things even while bogged down with some more lucrative projects, and we were lucky enough to have this guy Justin (from some band I won’t name drop, but will say that it rhymes with ‘Cool’) come in and co-write/perform on a song with us where we have two drummers and two bassists going at once.”

Whoa! Two drummers and two bassists? I think that must be some sign of the apocalypse or something. “Other than that, this record rules so much that I’m literally embarrassed to have been a part of everything we’ve done up until now.” That’s a bold statement, which then gets bolder. “Not to sound pretentious, but this is absolutely the best music ever made.”

Anyone else have a boner?
