I don’t mean to be so blunt, but the movie trailer that follows at the end of this post is pretty lame. It’s short. Informative? Yes. But does it give us any sense of what “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne,” the forthcoming, long-in-the-works documentary helmed by son Jack Osbourne, will really be like? Unless the entire documentary’s about the crowd at Ozzy shows, and the back-stage scene at an Ozzy show, it’s a no.
It’s supposed to be about Ozzy’s life. We don’t see one childhood picture, get no funny moment from Ozzy, and don’t even get to hear Ozzy. It’s just slowed-down, behind-the-scenes stock footage and it’s boring.
If you still want to see it, the film will debut at the 10th annual Tribeca Film Festival, which just kicked off and is running through May 1 in New York City. You can see it April 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the BMCC Tribeca PAC, April 28 at 9:30 p.m. at the SVA Theater 1 Silas and April 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the AMC Loews Village 7 – 2.
Here’s some insider speculation about Ozzy, seeing as we’ve been talking about Ozzy live…I’ve been told that every time Ozzy pours a bucket of water over himself, its to cover up the fact that he’s peed his pants. But that’s probably not true.
