Finnish battle metal dudes Turisas have started tracking their fourth record.
That means they are in a studio right now, laying down epic hymns of metal mastery. But they’ve gone into the studio with a different configuration.
The band’s original drummer, Tuomas “Tude” Lehtonen, is stepping aside, to be replaced by Jaakko Jakku. Also departing is bassist Jukka-Pekka Miettinen, who will focus on his own musical projects.
Lehtonen says years of stress from the road has forced him to quit.
Jakku is is currently laying down drums at Atomic Spa studio in Helsinki, Finland, and will continue recording in different locations until the end of January.
The new album is scheduled for release in May 2013 on Century Media Records.
