You know what’s the greatest thing ever? Working more for the same amount of pay.
Regular readers know I have a regular day job. Well, recently, because times are tough, my workplace has had to do more with less. And that trickles down to suckers like me.
In December, I was making a certain amount of cash, doing a certain amount of work. Last month, the pay stayed the same but the workload doubled.
This has nothing to with U.D.O., but I am getting there.
I am fucking sick and tired of living in this economy. Labels have no money, because we have no money. You, me — the royal we, as it were. WE have no money, so we spend no money.
I feel like the economy still being in the toilet is someone’s fault. Likely, the Wall Street douches who were never charged with a single crime yet, millionaires were made on the backs of centuries of hard work. What the fuck? This place is fucked. Why’d the meteor miss?!?
Anyways, when I reference 2013, and call it the year of the metal, I certainly wasn’t thinking of U.D.O.
Nevertheless, the band — fronted by former Accept frontman Udo Dirkschneider — has a new album coming out in May.
AFM will release Steelhammer on May 24. The CD was produced by Dirkschneider with Fitty Wienhold.
