Polish death metal dudes Vader will be returning next summer with a new album called Return to the Morbid Reich. According to reports, the band plans to record the effort in March and will release the disc in August.
Frontman Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek — in a Q&A with no one in particular, it seems — says that the album won’t necessarily be a return to the Vader sound of old.
“It’s impossible and useless to record the same album once again. Times have changed, people have changed and metal has changed itself,” he says. “What can be done is to try to capture the feeling of those days just to remind the roots of the band. Return To The Morbid Reich will be my attempt to revive the gloom of those days accompanying the creation of music and expressionist aesthetics of the ‘30s. The outcome? I’m curious myself. The difference would be the time devoted to the album even before entering the studio.”
