You know, there are days when I awake and simply dread this self-imposed indentured servitude I like to call “my blog.”
Mostly, the trouble is I don’t have the kind of time I’d truly like to devote to it, so more often than not — especially when posting in the a.m. — I’m just cranking out copy almost mindlessly, like a machine, just to trudge through it.
That’s because I also have a full-time job that takes up a lot of my time and has basically sapped the entirety of my creativity. Hence, I’m uninspired almost always, and that’s a shitty way to persist, believe you me.
But sometimes, when competing with cliques of corporate metal blogs really starts to wear on my soul, I’ll read something on Facebook that’ll get me excited again, if only for a fleeting moment.
When I read about Veil of Maya’s impending new album just now, that shit did not happen. So I apologize if the following feels generic. Inspiration alludes me once more.
So, right…Veil Of Maya will release a new one before the year is through, and Loudwire has all the pertinent details.
How? They spoke with Vocalist Brandon Butler, of course, and he spilled his talentless guts:
“It’s going to be out this year. We don’t want to put out an album that’s rushed. We want to make sure it’s where we want it to be and what we think a quality album should be.”
So, there’s that not to look forward to.
