I’ve always wanted to go to Coachella, but never have, largely for monetary reasons. I’d eventually like to attend just for the experience, because let’s face it, the lineup never ever boasts anything too heavy.
Last night in Indio, California, the first night of the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival commenced, and was closed out by the one and only AC/DC.
The set marked the band’s first full North American show in over five years.
AC/DC played 20 songs in all, kicking things off with “Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be.” The band performed classics like “Back In Black,” “Thunderstruck,” “Hells Bells,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” before closing with “For Those About To Rock.”
You’d think they’d play that first, being the crowd is there for proper rocking. So, it’d make sense to salute “those about to rock” at the start of the show rather than the very end. But what the fuck do I know.
