This is pretty cool, actually.
Even if it does involve Metallica.
On Friday, it was Metallica Night at AT&T Park in San Francisco, home of baseball’s San Francisco Giants.
So, they roped in James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett to throw out the first pitch and perform the National Anthem.
The duo played on custom Giants-themed guitars that were signed immediately following the National Anthem and auctioned off at the Giants Community Clubhouse, with proceeds being shared by the Giants Community Fund and the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation.
One guitar sold for $8,000 and another, for close to $8,000. So that’s cool.
