Video: Soundgarden Kick Off Tour In Toronto

That’s right, folks. Reunited Seattle grunge granddaddies Soundgarden kicked off their first North American tour in 14 years Saturday night at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto, Canada.

There’s a fan video shot during that very show, after the jump and located at the end of this post.

“Welcome to the first show of the first tour in 13, 14 years,” declared vocalist Chris Cornell. “This is the best place to start. It sounds like bullshit, but it’s not bullshit.”

Why is that? I love Canada, don’t get me wrong. But Vancouver is cooler than Toronto, if we’re sharing here.

The band played a bunch of their classic tunes, like “Rusty Cage,” “Spoonman,” “Black Hole Sun,” “The Day I Tried To Live,” and “Blow Up The Outside.”
